headcanon-ish that way back all queens got a flower
but warriors were like "wtf we wnat flowers"
so they gave all highly respected warriors flowers as well and
supposing that mapleshade did go "insane", the use of forget-me-not [gET IT] flowers and even just flowers in general were banned after she attempted to wreck havoc and stuff
but later on ferncloud brought this old tradition back and made dustpelt wear flowers with her and he doesn't like the flowers but he does it because he loves her
